Alaska, often referred to as 'The Last Frontier', was my charming home for over a decade. What’s not to love about this paradise? From the cordial Alaska Natives to the majestic mountains that touch the sky, the endless seas, diverse wildlife, and unparalleled natural beauty; this place is nothing short of a dreamland. Can you imagine encountering the largest bear in the world, the Kodiak Brown Bear, in Kodiak, or seeing a moose confidently strolling down the busiest streets of Anchorage? It’s these unique experiences that give Alaska its Aleut-given name, 'Great Land.'
To those who think of Alaska as a remote and underdeveloped region, you'll be surprised. This state features a blend of modern and natural settings. You'll find popular fast-food chains, contemporary health care facilities, and intriguing museums. Even education is not left behind, with a well-recognized university system present. But, what keeps Alaska buzzing? It’s the flourishing sectors of oil, fishing, and tourism. With the Alaska Pipeline commissioned in 1977, oil now supplies a whopping 85% of the state budget. Not to be outdone, tourism draws in over a million visitors annually, serving as the second-largest employer in the state. Alaska invites men and women from all over the globe who are passionate about fishing, eager to catch the enormous King Crabs in the Bering Sea, support the thriving tourism industry, or simply relish the breathtaking beauty of the region.
Feeling excited? Ready to explore the ‘Last Frontier’ and find your piece of heaven? In Alaska, you can experience the thrill of witnessing 20 plus hours of unending sunlight or 12 hours of mysterious darkness. If you’re in luck, you could also catch the magical northern lights. Don't be surprised if you come across some snow in July! But don’t just take my word for it. I've attached a video showcasing the mesmerizing charm of Alaska. After watching it, I'm sure you'll be eager to book your exciting, once-in-a-lifetime vacation to the 'Last Frontier.’
